Where do I even begin.
Celebrities pay from 3.5 to 20 million dollars for their homes according to Nick Segal, founder of Los Angeles brokerage Partners Trust (forbes.com). Needless to say they have the cash to get the most exquisite furniture and interiors designers money can buy. But I am not so sure the money goes where it's supposed to go. Even though these celebrities have the means to hire designers or maybe even do the work on their own, I don't think that they don't have a say at all when it comes to choosing furniture and colour schemes.
Money can't buy taste
You would think otherwise but this is the truth when it comes to these celebrity homes. The first to get bombarded with my opinions is......drumroll please........
1. Ariana Grande
From my POV it's not the worst and has class to it but I have to say it feels.... corporate. As if I was working for this multimillion dollar corporate company grabbing a coffee in the bar area chatting with my coworkers. It's sophisticated and business like and doesn't seem to resonate with her music style and personality. I would imagine something softer and hope these are just the listing photos. I have to say I am worried about those steps in the bathroom. Naked toes and tiled steps and a wet floor. Just be careful babe.
2. Loren & JR Ridinger
Who? Oh I'll tell you who, a combined networth of $300mil is who. Both founded mulitple retailing giants and award winning cosmetics lines. Loren herself has won multiple awards and accomplishments throughout 2009 - 2010. And this is exactly where this home stayed - in the 2010s. What more can I say from unnecessary luxury which in turn turns into tacky. Industrial and stainless style kitchen with extravagant and fancy shmancy dining chairs is a clash of style. And don't get me started on the mirrored furniture, simply outdated. A bejewelled bathtub that looks as if it was plastic and horrible to bathe in and the tacky black and white wallpaper that was on everything back in 2010. The only thing more modern in this home is the second or third or god knows how many there are, living room. Ah yes the one with the picture framed back wall and white comfy looking couches. But please tell me what activities do celebrities do in their living rooms? I need to know which living room is used for what, do they read in one room and lounge in the other one? Or is only one of them used? I mean $19.95mil for this style is #thankyounext
3. MR MAKEOVER HIMSELF TY Pennington
With a net worth of $12mil he has recently listed his Venice beach home for $2,795,000. I kinda want to get the style but I can't. With the amount of homes he has redone this in my opinion is underwhelming. I expected more to be honest. The walls of the house look extremely thin as if a gust of wind would blow it down. The kitchen looks as if it had been untouched since the 2010s. Windows with no soft curtains or anything at least makes it look cold and uncomfortable. The only thing that would save this could be soft and comfortable looking furniture but as you can see, it looks like a piece of wood with pillows in all of the rooms. Is it an instant hotel or bed & breakfast? It just looks EXTREMEly cheap for almost $3mil.
